Chicago Agency Selected To Host Creative Globals Competition
Chicago, Ill., August 5, 2010 — The Global Awards, a renowned international creative competition group, has recently selected Topin & Associates (topin.com) to host the 2010 Midwest Judging Competition.
“The Globals set the industry standard for creative and marketing excellence,” said Al Topin, president of Topin & Associates. “The judging event that’s taking place in our offices is a rare opportunity for talented individuals in the Midwest to get together and discuss the entries from many different perspectives.”
The Global Awards mission is to lift the perception of creativity beyond clever headlines and “pictures” and to emphasize the emotional connection between the creator and the target audience. The Globals embrace communications that transcend continents, language, and culture. Each year, more than 40 countries worldwide participate in the competition.
This year, the competition will be co-hosted by executives from Topin & Associates’ creative team: Abby Mansfield, vice president, creative director; John Diaz, vice president, creative director; and Barclay Missen, director of digital communications. As a former Globals judge, Missen can provide insights into the judging process.
Judges from across the Midwest will gather at Topin & Associates headquarters and will sift through nearly 100 entries. Those that stand out will move on to be considered for the Global Award trophies and the top Grand Award in New York City in November.
