PRESS RELEASE: Infinite Possibilities With Universal

Forget trying to work out which paint is best to use for your next small project around the home — just pick up a can of Rust-Oleum Universal Spray Paint and go. The world’s first (and only) all-surface spray paint, Universal features a new paint formula that adheres to any interior or exterior surface, including wood, metal, plastic and wicker. Universal differs from most regular spray paints in that it can be used without a primer and provides superior one-coat coverage – meaning you can finish your project with less paint and in less time. To demonstrate the diverse materials Universal can be used on, we’ve taken four typical paint projects and given them a makeover with the paint. The wooden chair started life with a burgundy paint finish and within no time we’d transformed its colour to white. After giving the object a quick wipe down with a cloth to remove any dirt or dust, it was ready to spray. The cabinet was a plain mdf flatpack with a laminated faux-timber finish. Even though the object had a glossy finish, this didn’t pose a problem for Universal, which works on the most challenging substrates. The wicker basket was an absolute breeze to paint and the job was made easier with Universal’s unique trigger grip which makes the can more comfortable to work with and allows you to paint at any angle – even upside down. The metal wine rack had a plain steel finish before we revamped it with Universal. Painting metal normally requires a primer, but not in this case. With Universal there’s no lengthy preparation, it’s simply plug and play. Universal is available in a range of colours and finishes including metallic and hammered. All four jobs were completed within the space of a day using the same paint for each, Rust-Oleum Universal, White (Satin Finish) 400ml, From £9.99 rrp.
