AP Racing launches Audi R8 brake disc and bell upgrade kits

AP Racing has announced a new bake upgrade kits for the Audi R8 (2007-) featuring an advanced “Float in the bell” design.

Drawing on its specialist knowledge and the latest technology, the replacement R8 discs offer enhanced braking performance, greater life span, and greater thermal range providing greater stability during heavy braking, when compared to the original equipment discs.

Enhancing braking performance, the front and rear kits have been designed to replace the standard Ø365 x 34mm, two-piece OEM system and retain the vehicle’s production Brembo brake calipers. The replacement kit also uses the latest “Float in the bell” mounting system, which helps to eliminate drive bobbin rattle by allowing axial and radial float.

In contrast to many aftermarket disc kits, the AP Racing OE replacement disc kit is guaranteed to meet, or even surpass, the quality of the original equipment fitted to the vehicle. AP Racing discs use 12 mounting holes compared to OEM discs, which use 10 so, as a result, it is necessary to order mounting bells: (RH/LH = CP8080Z480 when installing AP Racing discs for the first time.
