Axtec, the UK’s specialist in dynamic, static, on-board and portable axle weighing technology for any commercial vehicle, is exhibiting at The Resource Efficiency and Waste Management Solutions show at the NEC, Birmingham from 15 to 17 September 2015 (stand 5P151), and looking forward to showing operators how they can ensure their vehicles are always fully loaded (for maximum efficiency) and legal.
Axtec has plenty of examples of the cost savings and efficiency benefits that are gained in measurable productivity and efficiency improvements by its customers in the recycling and waste management sector. Some also generate additional revenue as Axtec’s dynamic weighbridge is the only one of its kind to achieve the standard required to be offered as a public weighbridge.
The Axtec dynamic weighbridge measures vehicles in motion to remove the effects that stopping and starting can have on compensating axles, which can often lead to inaccurate weighing, and produces results of individual and total weights with ± 0.5 per cent accuracy in less than 40 seconds.
For waste operators, the small platform size offers huge benefits. Taking up far less space than a conventional plate weighbridge, yard space is freed-up for other purposes and there is no huge, above-ground structure which can be hit by vehicles.
“The biggest single reason for a weighbridge to have its approval revoked is debris under the beam,” explains Axtec’s Sales Manager, Derek Hack.
“A large platform weighbridge can be difficult to clean under, but the Axtec dynamic platform has corner pockets for simple pit access and in the worse cases, the whole thing can be lifted out in seconds using a forklift or similar,” Derek continued.
“The recycling and waste management industry is an important sector to Axtec, so we really enjoy speaking to operators at the shows, and helping them to be more efficient, save money and stay legal,” added Derek.
