The brand new Bosch OBD 100 and OBD 150 portable OBD scantools from Bosch let enthusiasts and professionals benefit from 25 years’ diagnostics know-how for a pocket-friendly price.

  • Entry-level tools in Bosch’s diagnostic range, starting at £89 RRP
  • Compatible with the majority of cars manufactured since 2003
  • Suitable for both enthusiast and professional technicians

Providing fault codes and key data to the palm of your hand, the latest addition to Bosch‘s family of diagnostic equipment helps technicians quickly and easily get to the bottom of modern vehicle faults.

Intuitive enough for an enthusiast to use, but also powerful enough for a professional technician, the new Bosch OBD 100 and OBD 150 are priced at £89 RRP and £129 RRP respectively, and come with a two-year warranty.

Suitable for the fast diagnosis of faults, including home repairs and when assessing used cars for sale, the new tools are small enough to be kept in a toolbox or pocket and simply plug into a car’s OBD port when required.

Working to EOBD standards, both units are easy to use, provide exhaust relevant diagnostic data, display and allow fault codes to be reset.

The entry-level OBD tool, the OBD 100 provides support for seven OBD modes, can display a freeze frame of data, provides advanced manufacturer-defined codes and displays the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

The more advanced OBD 150 supports all ten OBD modes, provides a comprehensive trouble-shooting function and displays graphical representation of actual values via a multi-line display. In addition, the OBD 150 can receive firmware updates via its USB port

Especially useful when a garage’s main diagnosis equipment is in use, the OBD tools allow quick analysis and diagnosis so that repairs can be accurately assessed before a car is booked into the workshop.

To be able to perform diagnostic tests using the OBD 100 and OBD 150, the vehicle must have an OBD interface. Since January 2001 all new petrol vehicles in the European Union are required to have the second stage of the European On Board Diagnostics (EOBD) system. For diesel vehicles, this regulation applies to those produced from January 2004 onwards.

The Bosch OBD 100 and OBD 150 are available from leading Bosch distributors.
