  • New five-year partnership announced between Salon Privé and Chubb Insurance
  • Firmly establishes Concours d’Elégance as one of the top three Concours world-wide
  • New home of Blenheim Palace provides stunning backdrop

Salon Privé and Chubb Insurance Company of Europe SE (Chubb Insurance) have renewed their sponsorship agreement for the esteemed automotive event’s Concours and Tour d’Elégance.

The five-year agreement continues a hugely successful partnership, which, over the past six years, has seen the Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance acknowledged as one of the top three classic car events in the world, alongside Pebble Beach Concours d’Elégance and Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza.

The news follows Salon Privé’s recent announcement that it is relocating to the magnificent Blenheim Palace in 2015, as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Salon Privé managing director Andrew Bagley commented: “We are thrilled to have renewed Chubb Insurance’s sponsorship of the wonderful Concours and Tour d’Elégance. Together, we’ve worked tirelessly to establish it as one of the most renowned events in the world.”

“The overwhelmingly positive reaction from the classic car world, since we announced our move to Blenheim Palace, reinforces our belief that this year’s Salon Privé will be nothing but extraordinary. The perfect way to celebrate ten years.”

Simon Mobey, Chubb Insurance European private clients manager, added: “As a leading insurer of some of the world’s most remarkable classics and supercars, Salon Privé is the perfect match for Chubb. Salon Privé has grown in stature and international recognition over the years and we’re delighted to have supported that success.  The quality of the Concours cars, the judging panel and the hospitality on offer are unquestionably world-class. We’re looking forward to an exceptional event at Blenheim. “

Conceived by Andrew and David Bagley in 2004, the event has gone from strength to strength, showcasing everything from rare, bespoke classics through to the latest prestige and performance cars. The event has also continued to attract an increasing portfolio of world-renowned luxury and lifestyle brands, from jewellery to executive jets to fine art.

Salon Privé will continue with its well-established early September dateline. However, this year sees another enhancement.  For the first time, the event will run from Thursday to Saturday instead of Wednesday to Friday, with the Tour event on the Wednesday. This move is designed to attract even more buyers, collectors and enthusiasts than before. The addition of the Saturday ‘public day’ will enable a ‘Speed & Style’ supercar competition from 1975 to-date, held in the Great Court. It will add an innovative and exciting new component to the event.

Alongside longstanding elements of the three-day event, including the Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance and Boodles Ladies’ Day, there are also some exciting firsts at this year’s Salon Privé,. This includes the opportunity for visitors to test drive many of the desirable cars in Blenheim’s grounds and even more spectacular cavalcades of the cars on show.

More details will follow in the coming months, including class categorisations for the world-renowned Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance and ‘Speed & Style’ competition.
