Chubb Insurance Concours D’Elégance

With a class covering vehicles from 1900-1939 and another for machines from 1940-1974, everything from pioneering early machines through to Italian exotica is included. Notable entries Include:

1903 Ariel Motor Bicycle No. 2

Discovered in a scrap yard in New Milton in 1957, this bike was stripped down - with its parts carefully stored in Horlicks jars until 2012, when the owner started its renovation. Originally bought new by a parson, it saw long service and was only sold for scrap after his death. Since its return to the road, the Ariel has been maintained in immaculate condition, has completed the 2015 Pioneer Run with its owner and has received a Pioneer Certificate.

1957 Mondial 175 TV Giuseppe Garozzo

First produced in 1955, the Mondial 175cc TV, or 'Turismo Veloce', was Modial's first street bike to employ a single overhead chain-driven camshaft engine. The single overhead cam Mondials were available in three versions: Tursimo Veloce, Sport Touring, and Gran Sport. As a TV variant, this bike was designed for fast sport touring and production continued until 1958.

1974 Honda SS 250 Super Sport

Starting life as a 1974 Honda SS50 4 speed moped, this Honda SS 250 Super Sport was bought in bits by the current owner. The chassis was then modified and strengthened in order to take a water cooled 250cc motocross race engine producing 43BHP. A new swing arm was also fabricated from high tensile tube to withstand the additional power of the engine, and the bike features bespoke stainless steel as well as updated wheels and brakes. To complete the work, the bike is now finished with an original Honda blue grey frame and contrasting candy red fuel tank.

Modern Masterpieces

For a contemporary take on two wheels, there will also be a host of modern motorcycle brands, showing the latest in technology, speed and style in the biking world.

Bienville

The Bienville Legacy is the most powerful, innovative superbike ever built. With radical breakthroughs in suspension and steering, bespoke production of the fastest four-cylinder motorcycles in history is underway. Performance, quality, and fabrication are overseen in New Orleans’ French Quarter by renowned master-craftsman, JT Nesbitt.

Midual

Made entirely of metal and leather using only noble and refined production procedures and finishing techniques, the Midual Type 1 is a modern, high-performance machine developed for the pleasure of riding the open road.

Gladstone

Gladstone Motorcycle designs and builds limited production runs of the finest handmade British motorcycles, and complements these with a range of Gladstone-designed bicycles, luxury clothing and accessories. On display at Salon Privé will be a number of Gladstone No.1 bikes, vintage land speed record bike and a new range of Gladstone Workwear.
