Containerlift, a leading UK supplier of transport, onsite handling and shipping solutions for shipping containers, has achieved FORS Gold accreditation.

Since joining FORS in May 2015, Containerlift has used the advice and support provided by the programme to develop their processes and training procedures, enabling them to improve the service they are able to provide to their customers. The company has bases all over the UK, although it is their central office in Essex which has achieved Gold status. Containerlift operates articulated sidelifter vehicles which specialise in lifting on and off shipping containers.

Recent process improvements have included the installation of vehicle safety cameras and vehicle lane departure systems. Blind spot safety systems are also being rolled out across the fleet along with left turn audible warning systems.

Containerlift Managing Director, Joost Baker explains; “We operate large vehicles and crane equipment and many of our deliveries take place in urban, heavily populated and congested areas including inner city London. Since joining FORS, we are operating more safely, we are having less impact on the environment and in doing so we have reduced costs.”

John Hix, FORS Concession Director says; “Congratulations to the whole team and all their drivers for this achievement. There are nearly 150 FORS Gold members and this is a fantastic accomplishment for Containerlift and we look forward to seeing them improve even more in the following year.”
