Continental and Schmitz Cargobull strengthen longstanding collaboration

Continental and Schmitz Cargobull are strengthening their longstanding collaboration by introducing the Conti Hybrid HT3 as a standard tyre in the leading truck trailer manufacturer’s product portfolio. The Conti Hybrid HT3 is a specially developed trailer tyre for use both on regional roads and motorways and was launched in the spring of this year.
Continental and Schmitz Cargobull have been linked by a partnership lasting more than 30 years, during which Continental as a premium tyre producer has become one of the trailer specialist's major suppliers. Peter Matzke, Head of OE Truck Tyres at Continental remarked: “We are delighted that Schmitz Cargobull has included our Conti Hybrid HT3 in its original equipment manufacturing portfolio, further strengthening our longstanding collaboration.”
A newly developed tread compound has increased the mileage of the Conti Hybrid HT3 compared with its predecessor, and has also improved wet grip performance. In addition, the Conti Hybrid HT3 demonstrates excellent fuel efficiency thanks to optimised rolling resistance.
Schmitz Cargobull is Europe's leading manufacturer of truck trailers. The company, which specialises in the production of semitrailers for heavy trucks, is setting the standard for highly efficient transport solutions, partly due to its innovative manufacturing and intelligent production technologies.
