CUMMINS CARE™ EUROPE INTRODUCED AT INTERMAT
Enhanced Customer Support Ready To Provide Rapid Technical Advice And Information
DARLINGTON, U.K. (April 15, 2015) – Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) will announce at the INTERMAT show the introduction of Cummins Care™ Europe as a technical advice and information service for operators of Cummins-powered construction, material handling and industrial equipment. Customer calls and e-mails route to a Europe-wide central hub at the Cummins Daventry plant in the U.K., with a backup connection to the Cummins Care operation in North America enabling rapid response to customers around the clock.
The Cummins Care operation is staffed by trained and experience representatives who are ready to answer any technical, operational or service questions that customers may have about their engines and aftertreatment, including the latest European Union (EU) Stage IV and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier 4 Final products. They can also help customers quickly locate their nearest Cummins service location.
“The introduction of Cummins Care to Europe follows on from the success of this program in North America, and highlights the investment that Cummins continues to make in supporting off-highway equipment operators,” said Hugh Foden, Executive Director – Cummins Off-Highway Business.
“Maximizing equipment uptime is critical to the success of our customers, which is why we are so committed to providing the most dependable engine technology and the most responsive engine support in the industry,” added Foden.
Expert information is also available from Cummins Care regarding sulphur-tolerance kits, allowing export of used Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB equipment into regions where Ultra-Low Sulphur Diesel (ULSD) is not available, such as Africa and the Middle East. The kit allows an engine to be operated on fuels containing far more sulphur than ULSD.
Representatives from Cummins Care will be available to talk with visitors at INTERMAT (Paris, April 20-25) in the Cummins booth, L028, Hall 5b. Customers can also download the latest mobile apps from Cummins – including a multi-language Tier 4 Operator Guide – and access service, parts and engine manuals with the new QuickServe® Online app.
The Cummins Care operation builds upon existing customer assistance assets in Europe, with the addition of new resources to provide an enhanced response service. The contact center is available for Cummins customers across Europe, as well as those in Russia/Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Middle East. Customers can e-mail cceurope@cummins.com, or call using the freephone number 00 8000 2866467 from the U.K., Ireland, Germany, France and the Netherlands or 01327 886464 from other countries.
