GBA Services supports Homes 4 Heroes initiative
- GBA Services sponsors Tony Knights 1,000 mile, Route 66 American challenge
International logistics provider GBA Services is pleased to have become one of a handful of sponsors who will be enabling Armed Forces veteran Tony Knights to complete a grueling 1,000 mile run and cycle across America’s world famous Route 66 in aid of Homes 4 Heroes.
Beginning in Chicago in March, Tony will be running and cycling a total of 1,000 miles across Route 66. Over a period of two weeks the intention is to cover at least 100 miles in each of the eight states the road visits, through Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. While Tony will cover the distance himself, he will have the support of a back up team who will look after his safety and logistics.
Speaking of the challenge Tony Knights said: “As an Armed Forces veteran myself this is a cause very close to my heart and I aim to raise as much money as possible for veterans in need of our support. The funds supplied by GBA Services will be used to ensure the smooth running of the logistical support services, without which the challenge would not be possible.”

Homes 4 Hero’s is a charity set up to respond to the plight of homeless ex-service personnel, it is estimated that over 4,500 previously serving members of the British Armed Forces are sleeping rough in the UK at any time. http://ukhomes4heroes.com
