LICENCECHECK first to market with RealTime licence checking software for companies
- Offers companies on-the-spot licence checking with no delays
- Delivers time and administrative overhead savings
- RealTime is first to market, ahead of upcoming DVLA changes
LICENCECHECK, the leading licence checking and monitoring company, has launched its new generation of licence checking software, RealTime, which allows companies to check its drivers’ licences at the touch of a button.
Making use of the DVLA’s new technology and services to deliver both time and administrative overhead savings to clients, LICENCECHECK’s RealTime software is the first to market, ahead of DVLA ‘s new ‘open service’ IT platform and the abolition of paper licence counterparts.
A totally new service for any business that demands immediate driving licence check results, such as vehicle rental companies, driver agencies and employers, the software will deliver results at the point of request. Previously, an overnight batch service, which delivered results the next working day, was the only option.
To make the process even more convenient for firms, the RealTime software will offer company car drivers the option of providing digital consent to check their licences, saving administration time for all parties, compared to the paper consent form process currently used.
LICENCECHECK managing director Richard Brown said: “It’s an exciting time for the licence checking industry with the upcoming DVLA changes and we’re thrilled to be at the forefront of this with our RealTime software.
“While there is still a place for the traditional method of licence checking, being able to check licences immediately is a massive advantage for companies, saving time and money.”
The move to RealTime licence checking will also allow businesses to demonstrate robust risk management measures for insurers before a driver is allowed to drive, and reduce the risk of damage to corporate reputation, as the status of a driver’s licence will be certain.
Richard added: “Not only does our RealTime software make life easier for companies with fleets, but it reduces potential corporate liability considerably, and with the drive towards corporate responsibility and an awareness of their organisation’s duty of care moving upwards in our clients’ agendas, it’s an area which can’t be overlooked.”
The software is currently undergoing comprehensive trials with some of LICENCECHECK’s leading clients including IAM and Software Europe, ahead of its official launch date at the beginning of April.
IAM Drive & Survive group sales director, Neil Hawley, commented: “The new improved service is something our clients would welcome and the reduction of paperwork and time would be a major benefit in providing the right service. Real-time licence checking is a real step forward into a service that had become very out of date.”
Neil Everatt, chief executive officer of Software Europe, added: “This new service from LICENCECHECK is going to represent a very positive enhancement for our online expenses customers. Automated checks will provide a whole new level of comfort and protection for the organisation; a very exciting change to a paper process.”
