LICENCECHECK launches independent fleet management software DAVIS
- Modular system allowing companies to customise system functionality
- Driving licence checking already integrated into DAVIS
- Software capability for managing commercial and grey fleet
Leading licence monitoring company LICENCECHECK has launched DAVIS, a hosted fleet management solution offering a modular approach with different plug-in services that allows customers to mix-and-match components to meet their own individual requirements. DAVIS also features a central dashboard that dynamically adapts according to the selected services.
Able to grow as a company’s needs expand, DAVIS will address the fleet requirements of a wide range of organisations including those running mixed fleets of company owned vehicles (cars, van, lorries, buses and minibuses) and grey fleet. The completed suite of products will interest local authorities, utilities, construction, service operations, transport and delivery companies.
At launch, DAVIS will initially focus on grey fleet users, with a powerful autofill capability which populates vehicle details, road fund licence and MOT information automatically (using DLVA, SMMT and DVLA data). This ensures that the process of registering the vehicle is fast, accurate and all fields are properly completed. Useful features include prompts and reminders to drivers and managers about important dates and actions to be completed. There is also a news broadcast to managers and drivers so that important information is easily disseminated.
With a driving licence checking module already integrated into DAVIS, various other modules will be launched over the next couple of months including telematics, foreign driving licence document recognition and expenses management. Additional modules including tachograph, replacement vehicle hire, driver assessment and training will be launched early in 2016. DAVIS has been developed with input from experts in all the modules’ respective fields to ensure that functionality and essential features are present for each of its target user groups.
Flexibility and scalability for fleet managers
As a hosted cloud-based solution, DAVIS is scalable and easy to deploy across an organisation. It allows central or locally based policies to be implemented across different locations. Where there are third-party software solutions linked to or embedded in DAVIS, clients will be offered more than a single option. This means that companies that have already committed to a third party product may be able continue to use this within the DAVIS framework.
Easily accessible from any device via an internet connection for drivers and administrators, it will support all popular browsers. As a hosted solution, it also avoids potential security issues that an installed solution can present to IT managers.
LICENCECHECK managing director Richard Brown said: “Offering powerful reporting facilities to managers, DAVIS uses technology to meet fleet requirements in the most efficient and cost-effective way, which is different to many existing products which rely on extensive manual intervention to manage services and provide report.”
Richard added: “Being able to mix and match modules to suit individual companies is a real bonus, and we’re confident that this feature, and its many other benefits, make it an ideal solution for all-vehicle and grey fleets.”
LICENCECHECK was founded in 2008 and has established itself as a leader and innovator in the licence verification industry. LICENCECHECK founder and managing director Richard Brown, has spent over 30 years working in various sectors of the motor trade before developing the LICENCECHECK brand. LICENCE CHECK Ltd is a fully registered member of DVLA Electronic Driver Entitlement Checking Service (EDECS) and a founder member of The Association for Driving Licence Verification (ADLV). LICENCECHECK’s customer service satisfaction is rated at 4.9 out of 5 by its customers.
In line with the company’s growth strategy LICENCE CHECK has again seen a huge growth in business during Q1 of 2015 by 345% over 2014, while it has recently appointed a new commercial director, Terence Hiles, to help manage growth in current services and new product lines.
