Leading distributor of autoparts and workshop equipment, Andrew Page, has promoted its current COO Mark Saunders to the role of chief executive.

“Mark has done an outstanding job in the past year and thoroughly merits this promotion” explained Jim Sumner, Executive Chairman of Andrew Page. “Given our expansion plans, we are growing and developing the management team to deliver this growth.”

Andrew Page plans to build on the acquisition of 21 Unipart centres in 2014 by adding 50 new branches, which will include the first franchise operations - with independently owned sites signing up to carry the Andrew Page name. Other projects include the expansion of its existing presence in the commercial vehicle aftermarket as well as a collaboration with Unipart Group, covering parts supply, joint system developments and combined buying activities.

Enthusiastic about the year ahead, Mark Saunders commented. “We have made a record start to the year, with our best ever monthly revenues in January. I am confident we will maintain this momentum given the strength of management team and passion we have in the business.”

Mark joined Andrew Page in February last year from Saxon Automotive and blends a strong background in both retail and automotive sectors.
