Leading autoparts and workshop equipment distributor, Andrew Page, is set to make its first move into Wales with its Cardiff site, creating jobs in the area while providing motorists and garages with access to thousands of products.

From a recruitment day held in Cardiff on 9th September, Andrew Page was able to fill all 18 positions for the new motor factor and retail store site, with all roles going to individuals based in the local area.

Roles filled ahead of the new site opening in October include managerial appointments in business development and the sales office, as well as positions for sales advisors, warehouse operatives and drivers. The new depot is a significant milestone in Andrew Page’s 98 year history, being the first store across the border in Wales, with the Cardiff team joining the 2,600+ others that make up the nationwide Andrew Page network.

Andrew Page has historically operated as a national motor factor, supplying a wide range of quality automotive parts to the trade through a network of over 100 branches. Earlier this year the company also launched its CV trade operations, as well as a network of retail outlets with an online click and collect function, providing car enthusiasts and home engineers with access to all parts offered through Andrew Page.

The Cardiff site will serve both sides of the business, including a retail outlet for consumers as well as a traditional trade outlet for independent garages. With a central distribution facility in Derbyshire with over 140,000ft2 of car parts and distribution supported by 940 vehicles, the Ocean Way branch will be able to provide the right parts to customers at the right time.

Simon Mullin, Andrew Page sales and marketing director said: “Opening this site in Cardiff is a significant step for us, marking our first entrance into the market in Wales directly. It is great for us to come to a new area and expand the business, creating more jobs and opportunities locally in the process.”

The Andrew Page Cardiff site will open at Trident Trade Park, Ocean Way (CF24 5EN) on 12th October, more information can be found at www.andrewpage.com
