Ingram Micro Now Pan-European Distributor of Toshiba Storage Products
90,000 resellers gain access to Toshiba HDDs, SSDs and SSHDs
Düsseldorf, Germany, 11th March 2104 - Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) has announced a new pan-European distribution arrangement with leading IT distributor Ingram Micro Europe. The newagreement will enable Ingram Micro to provide its 90,000 European reseller customers with access to Toshiba’s industry-leading enterprise and consumer solid state drives (SSDs), hard disk drives (HDDs) and solid state hybrid drives (SSHDs).
This alliance builds on a longstanding partnership between Toshiba and Ingram Micro Germany for the distribution of HDDs. The new arrangement will see Ingram Micro Europe distributing Toshiba’s complete product range of storage solutions: from the award winning HG range of client SSDs and the second generation SSHD MQ01ABFxxxH up to advanced Enterprise-class HDDs as well as eSSDs.
“We are very excited to be working with Ingram Micro Europe, as the company is one of Europe’s leading distributors and will help satisfy market demands for Toshiba’s innovative storage products,” said Otto Hinteregger, General Manager Sales Distribution at TEE.
Ingram Micro Europe was founded in 1989 and its operations now cover Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. It expanded its geographical footprint in Europe even further with the recent acquisition of Brightpoint in the Mobility/Telco sector in 2012 and also serves resellers in most other countries in the EMEA region through its export offices.
“Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) is a strategic partner of Ingram Micro Europe in key business segments such as Components and Systems within our distribution line card. With the new agreement, Ingram Micro Europe can further support Toshiba’s growth opportunities by offering first-in-class product availability, support and services to the European enterprise market,” said Ernesto Schmutter, Executive Director International Businesses, at Ingram Micro Europe.
