One of the South West’s largest private air charter companies, Capital Air Charter, has EASA-compliant manuals ahead of the regulation deadline after drafting in support from Total AOC.

The Exeter-based flyer, which specialises in providing air ambulance services, has a fleet of three Beechcraft King Airs and five Piper Chieftains, which operate across Europe.

The new regulations, which replace EU-OPS, come into full effect from 28th October. AOC holders who do not comply with the new regulations will be liable to have their AOC suspended, meaning their aircraft will be grounded.

Capital Air Charter’s Managing Director and Chief Pilot, Malcolm Humphries, explained: “Our operations are quite complex, so it is essential all suppliers fully understand our requirements. Total AOC came highly recommended and worked extremely closely with us to identify our exact needs. They delivered everything we wanted without fuss and on time.”

He added: “The finished product is superb, and was supported by great customer service and communication throughout. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them myself.”

Total AOC Director Julian Tubb said: “Capital Air Charter have an excellent reputation in the industry and are known for their fast response times so it came as no surprise that they were quick off the mark when it came to preparations for the new regulations.

“We were delighted to be able to support the team and it was a real pleasure working with them.”

In addition to emergency patient transfer, Capital Air Charter provides private, corporate and VIP chartered flights, and urgent freight transportation from airports in Exeter, Biggin Hill and the Isle of Man.
