Nine Thailand restaurants named in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 list, including four in the top 10
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is pleased to report that Thai restaurant Le Du in Bangkok has been named the No.1 restaurant in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023, while eight other restaurants in Thailand also made it onto the list to make the kingdom one of the continent’s top culinary destinations.

Khao Kluk Kapi, signature dish from Le Du
Helmed by chef Thitid ‘Ton’ Tassanakajohn, Le Du restaurant presents a modern take on Thai cuisine, serving dishes created with Thai ingredients. Its signature dish is Khao Kluk Kapi, a butterflied river prawn from the Tapi river in southern Thailand, grilled and served with a risotto made from two types of northern Thai rice mixed with shrimp paste and seasonings.
The eight other Thai restaurants on the list of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, included three in the top 10 – Nusara at No. 3, Gaggan Anand at No. 5, and Sorn at No. 9. Sühring placed at No. 22, Ms. Maria & Mr. Singh at No. 33, Potong at No. 35, Raan Jay Fai at No. 38, and Baan Tepa at No. 46. All nine of the Thailand restaurants are in Bangkok.
The Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 list was announced at a live awards ceremony at Singapore’s Resorts World Sentosa on 28 March 2023. It was based on voting by the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy of over 300 food writers and critics, chefs, restaurateurs and regional culinary expert
