Thailand and Finnair welcome travelers on the first inaugural flight from Stockholm to Bangkok and Phuket

Thailand welcomes the launch of Finnair first non-stop service flights from Arlanda, Stockholm to Bangkok and Phuket. At this special occasion, Swedavia together with Finnair, and TAT held a welcoming reception for the first group of passengers who travel to Bangkok and Phuket on the inaugural flight at Arlanda Airport on October 22th and 24th, 2021.

The flights are operated with our modern and spacious Airbus A350 aircraft, so holiday goers will be able to start their journey to Thailand in comfort.”, Says Mr. Robert Lönnblad, Scandinavia General Manager

Finnair operates on the Stockholm-Phuket route from 24 October 2021 to 24 April 2022, starting with 2 flights per week. It will increase to 3 flights per week from 29 November 2021 to 17 April 2022.

Also, during this winter season, the airline will operate on the Stockholm-Bangkok route with 2 two flights per week from 22 October 2021 to 21 April 2022.

In addition, Finnair will be operating from Helsinki, Finland, to Phuket and Bangkok, with 2-4 flights per week from November this year to March next year.

Number of arrivals to Thailand from Sweden is the biggest in the Nordic countries. So, Phuket is one of the most popular holiday destinations among the Swedish.

Sweden and other Nordic countries – Denmark, Finland, Iceland, and Norway – are among the 46 approved countries and territories from where vaccinated travellers can enter to Thailand quarantine-free from 1 November 2021.
