Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) introducing Shade of Responsibilities f rom Surat Thani province

On March 2nd 2020, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) together with Tourism Association of Koh Samui held The Amazing Thailand Surat Thani Roadshow in Copenhagen, Denmark to spotlight Shade of Responsibilit y from Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao island.

The event comprised a B2B session with 22 sellers from Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao island including hotels and resorts and other tourism-related business and specially-invited guests from tour operators in Denmark. His Excellency Mr. Vichit Chitvimarn, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark and Mr. Vijvut Tjinto, Governor of Surat Thani and Ms. Supranee Pongpat, Executive Director of Europe, Africa and Middle East Region Department, of TAT Bangkok, also addressed on the opening remarks at the event.

 

 

 

Denmark is Thailand’s 2nd largest market for the Nordic. According to the year 2019 statistics, we had over 160,000 Denmark visitors that generate about 14,000 million Thai baht to the country. Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) continues with Open to the New Shades concept to introduce new destinations and new activities that includes Shade of Responsibility from the 3 gem in the gulf of Thailand; Koh Samui – Paradise for leisure, Koh Phangan – Wellness island, and Koh Tao island – Diving paradise. Surat Thani province is prompt to be one of Thailand’s sustainable destinations that could attract Danish traveler not only its versatile environment and beautiful rich nature but also an opportunity to support the local community.
