Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II makes historic first visit to Ireland
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II arrived in Ireland yesterday starting a historic four-day State visit to the Republic of Ireland. It will be the first visit in 100 years by a reigning British monarch.
The star tourism attractions for Queen Elizabeth II on her state visit to Ireland will undoubtedly be the Irish National Stud in County Kildare, Trinity College Library and the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, Ireland’s number one tourist attraction.
Her Majesty will also visit the Rock of Cashel in County Tipperary before continuing her visit to Cork’s English Market, which dates back to 1788.
The Queen and her husband will see a vast and diverse range of unique tastes and flavours at the Market– everything from handmade Irish sausages, rich farmhouse cheeses, just picked organic vegetables and fresh Atlantic seafood, complemented by exotic foods from all over the world. The market’s traders are planning to present Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip with a hamper of Cork’s finest produce.
