Trafalgar Takes Key Media Influencers on Multi-Generational Family Experiences Trip
Evelyn Hannon & daughter Erica Ehm take the kids on Trafalgar’s Castles and Kilts tour
Toronto, August 9th 2011 – This summer, Trafalgar (www.trafalgartours.com) showcased their innovative approach to travel as they sent mother-and-daughter social media influencers on a multi-generational trip to Britain. Travel matriarch & beloved icon, Evelyn Hannon of popular women’s travel site Journeywoman.com joined daughter Erica Ehm, founder and publisher of YummyMummyClub.ca, and her two children on Trafalgar’s 11-day Castles and Kilts trip.
“Our three-generation Trafalgar Family Experience was a success from start to finish,” said Evelyn. “As the grandmother, I was given the wonderful gift of being with my grandchildren on their very first visit to the UK and seeing the world through their eyes.”
The trip, starting in London and ending in Edinburgh, took the women and kids throughout the UK with fellow travellers on one of Trafalgar’s fourteen signature Family Experiences vacations. In between checking out the Crown Jewels and sleeping in an English castle, the kids bonded with the other children on the trip and reveled in the many stops at familiar Harry Potter sites.
“As a mother, I loved how all logistics were handled by Trafalgar,” said Erica. “I could actually relax and enjoy the magical moments of our adventures in the UK with my kids and mom.”
Both Evelyn and Erica updated their collective 30,000 Twitter followers daily, with photos of the people and places they saw along the way. Their Twitter feeds were abuzz with comments and questions from curious and loyal followers, looking for trusted family travel advice from the two well-respected women. When they returned, the mother and daughter travel companions took to their websites to further share their tales from the trip, Evelyn gushing on Journeywoman.com about all of The Beatles landmarks in Liverpool and Erica raving on Yummymummyclub.ca about their London tour guide and Buckingham Palace.
