The Trafford Centre's calendar of amazing events for 2010 continues in May and June, with Half-term, Father's Day and the World Cup 2010 just around the corner! Print out a PDF of our events for photo opportunities and listings.

The Trafford Centre Tea Dance 4pm - 6.30pm Join us for our regular weekly tea dances with Greg Francis and his band. Complimentary tea and coffee, complimentary cloakroom and a free prize raffle for a box of chocolates provided by Thornton’s and flowers courtesy of Flower Couture in The Great Hall. Just bring your dancing shoes! Please note there will be no Tea Dance on Tuesday 1st June Every Wednesday – Mall walk at The Trafford Centre The mall walk is a short but brisk 30-40 minute walk, taking you around the whole of The Trafford Centre. Trained leaders take the group on the free mall walk, which has proven a great way to break a sweat – and make new friends! They meet every Wednesday at 9.45am at the Customer Service Desk in the Main Dome. Events for May Thursday 6th – Sunday 16th May - XEN-Tan: Sensational Sun-kissed Skin Event – in The Main Dome Discover Xen-Tan - the most natural looking moisturising and long-lasting fake tan that’s perfect for any skin tone. Orient Way Visit the ‘I Love British Turkey’ stand and get your free taster of delicious Turkey Bolognese, recipe cards and a money-off coupon too. Come along mid-morning on Friday 28th May, as Olympic badminton medallist Gail Emms will be joining the team and telling everyone how she enjoys cooking turkey as part of her lifestyle. Vichy ‘Skin Clinic’ – Saturday 29 & Sunday 30 May – Central Peel Circle In need of a beauty upgrade? Then the Vichy ‘Skin Clinic’ is just what you need. Vichy will be hosting a unique pop up ‘Skin Clinic’ in association with Boots and endorsed by the highly respected GP and Media Medic, Dr Dawn Harper. Come along for your free skin health consultations. Independent dermatological nurses will analyse your skin type, oil hydration levels, melanin levels and degree of skin ageing in a private consultation area using the Dermo.Analyzer. Monday 31 May – Thursday 6 June. IPG: International Paintball Group. Central Peel Circle Come and have a chat with IPG in Central Peel Circle about your next paintballing day out. IPG could have what you are looking for birthday parties, stag and hen parties, corporate events or just a fun day out. May Half Term Monday 31st May – Wednesday 2nd June – The Secret Garden on The Bandstand – 11am - 4pm Retreat to our Secret Garden and take part in one of our very special workshops. The Bandstand has been transformed into a mini oasis, so take some ‘time out’ and get your creative juices pumping! Monday 31st May – Plant a Seed Workshop Plant a seed and then paint and decorate the pot. Place it on your windowsill at home and watch your seed grow. Tuesday 1st June – Sun Catcher Workshop Design your very own sun catcher, once you’re home, hang it somewhere sunny and let all the colours shine through. Wednesday 2nd June – Make a Bug or Butterfly Mask You’ll be able to buzz or flutter around once you’ve created your very own bug or butterfly mask. Thursday 3rd June – Farm Yard Fun – on The Orient Main Stage – 12noon, 1.30pm & 3pm Join Scarecrow and Auntie May as they get their spring-time chores done on the farm. Scarecrow intends on having as much fun as he can, capers and comedy abound. Friday 4th June – Mini Bird Feeder Workshop – 11am-4pm Come down and paint your very own mini bird feeder, you will receive a pack of bird seeds with your creation to take away. Saturday 5th June - DanceTalent on The Orient Main Stage - Show and Workshop times: 12noon, 1.30pm & 3pm Do you want to learn how to dance like a pop star? Watch and learn at our DanceTalent Workshop! The DanceTalent teachers will be performing a stunning showcase, then you can learn how to bust some moves in a new dance workshop for children. DanceTalent will show you easy step-by-step dance moves and tricks to create an amazing dance routine. So come down to The Orient Main Stage and either join in the fun or be simply entertained! Events in June Thursday 3 June - Hallmark Cards in Orient Way – Audition sessions: 12noon & 1pm Join legendary cricketer turned Celebrity Come Dancing star, Phil Tufnell and Hallmark Cards in Orient Way for Manchester’s first ever Daddy Dance Off to win a whopping £250 cash. If your dad’s deemed the best overall national dancer he could win £1,000. Lipton Infusions. Friday 4 – Sunday 6 June. Orient Way Have a break from shopping at The Lipton Infusions Tea Boutique Bar. Enjoy a free sample of Lipton Fruit and Herbal Infusions. Don’t forget to collect your free taste pack, money-off coupon and try your luck in an amazing lucky dip. World Cup There’ll be oodles of activities such as craft workshops on The Bandstand throughout the World Cup, so there are plenty of opportunities to create flags and t-shirts to support England. Come down and be amazed by our strolling football entertainers on the malls and ‘Keepy Uppy’ performances as well as professional freestyler’s. Fabulous food and girlie movies. Imagine the scene, it’s a week into the World Cup, most men are glued to the TV screen and many women are pulling their hair out with boredom and frustration. The Trafford Centre is here to offer salvation by offering all women the chance to enjoy a ‘Girls’ Night In’. This is a great opportunity for ladies to spend an evening of shopping and pampering at The Trafford Centre, hosted by many of the Centre’s beauty and fashion stores, offering free beauty treatments, samples, goody bags and advice for the summer.
