The Trafford Centre Motorshow: 18-21 June

Manchester's Motorshow 2009 opens this week - with a bigger and better selection of vehicles than ever before. Timed to take place over the Father's Day weekend at The Trafford Centre, the Motorshow gives everyone the chance to get up-close and personal with some of the world's famous motoring names. Director of operations Gordon McKinnon said: 'Our Motorshow was a great success last year, and I'm very pleased to say that we have managed to create something even better for 2009. There will be fantastic deals on new cars, the chance to test drive some of the latest models - and of course the opportunity to get close to some incredible status vehicles. "The cancellation of the London Motorshow this year has meant that it is even more important to provide a great show for the Northwest and beyond - and that's just what we've managed to do. A perfect day out for a Father's Day treat, our Motorshow has something for everyone this year - so the whole family can come along to enjoy the fun." Highlights for 2009 include: * The iconic Lamborghini Gallerdo Spyder * The Westfield Experience - niche British kit-cars for the adrenalin-junkie * First Northwest showing of the new Toyota collection - including the All New 7-seat Verso, the next Prius, and the All New iQ * Guinness World Record Attempt - highest stack of books balanced on head (Sunday 21st June) Other brands showing their latest models include: · Nissan · Fiat · Seat · Kia · Renault · Peugeot · Suzuki · Vauxhall · Chevrolet · SAAB · Alfa Romeo & Abarth · Mercedes Exhibitions also come from Flower Couture, Chill Factore, Classic Buses from The Transport Museum, International Paintball Group and handbags made from recycled cars.
