The Trafford Centre Tea Dance 4pm-6.30pm Join us for our regular weekly tea dances with Greg Francis and his band. Complimentary tea & coffee, complimentary cloakroom & a free prize raffle for a box of chocolates provided by Thornton’s. Just bring your dancing shoes! Please note there will be no Tea Dance on Tuesday 4th January & Tuesday 22nd February. Every Wednesday – Mall walk at The Trafford Centre The mall walk is a short but brisk 30-40 minute walk, taking you around the whole of The Trafford Centre. Trained leaders take the group on the free mall walk, which has proven a great way to break a sweat – and make new friends! They meet every Wednesday at 9.45am at the Customer Service Desk in the Main Dome. Events in January Take your place at The Beauty Banquet Monday 31 January-Sunday 6 February - Weekdays 2pm – 10pm, Saturday 10am- 8pm & Sunday 12noon – 6pm From Monday 31st January to Sunday 6th February, The Trafford Centre Beauty Banquet gives beauty addicts the chance to indulge their passion for beauty, enjoy the latest and most exciting hair and beauty innovations and learn the secrets of the world’s top beauty brands, in a banquet of style and colour. It’s going to be a real feast! www.taffordcentre.co.uk/beautybanquet Events in February Saturday 12th February – Chinese New Year Celebrations on The Orient Main Stage 1pm – 4pm Join the Jin Long Centre on The Orient Main Stage and enjoy an authentic taste of Chinese arts and culture. Together we’ll celebrate the Chinese New Year with traditional costumed Lion Dances, Dragon Dances, Kung Fu performances and amazing Chinese acrobatics. This colourful show is packed full of fun, excitement and finesse, perfect entertainment for the whole family! Over the weekend on The Bandstand, you can find out your Chinese zodiac sign and see which lucky animal represents your birth year. There will be a great collection of colourful arts and crafts, perfect for gifts with a little bit of good fortune. Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th February - Cancer Research UK’s Race For Life The Race for Life team will be in Central Peel Circle giving ladies the opportunity to sign up for Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life. Sunday 13th February – Valentines Event on The Orient Main Stage "Love is in the air! Why not come and enjoy some contemporary classics, jazz standards and romantic ballads from Alexander Stewart on The Orient Main Stage to make your Valentine’s Day extra special." 12noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm & 4pm Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th February – The Trafford Centre Wedding Fair Exhibition Marquee Opens 11am – 5pm A new year and wedding fever is in the air as thousands of wedding couples plan for their big day. The Trafford Centre is proud to offer a helping hand to all those set for matrimony in 2011 and beyond, with our spectacular wedding exhibition. Here, you'll find experts available for advice and information on everything you need to make your perfect day complete. From bridal wear to beauty, car hire to catering, we've thought of everything. The Orient Main Stage will be transformed into a fantastic bridal setting, showcasing bridal gowns, men's formal wear, bridesmaid outfits, page boy suits and Mother of the Bride ensembles throughout the weekend. Brides and grooms-to-be can visit the spectacular exhibition marquee on Regent 13 Car Park (near Debenhams) where they'll find a host of experts revealing the very best in wedding, both modern and traditional. Romance will be in the air, so come along to soak up the atmosphere, learn the secrets of a special occasion, enjoy our live music and gather armfuls of inspiration. Couples can also take part in our fabulous competition and win great prizes! Monday 21st February – Louby Lou on The Orient Main Stage 12noon, 1.30pm & 3pm Join Louby Lou and her clown show on The Orient Main Stage for lots of fun and giggles. Expect comedy magic, and balloon modelling. Dance along and join in! Tuesday 22nd February – Arty Party on the Bandstand 11am – 1pm & 2pm – 4pm Arty Party is a popular arts and crafts workshop for children. Come along and make a pirate hat, eye patch, wand or even a crown. All materials and equipment are provided, fun is guaranteed and even adults find it difficult to resist joining in! Wednesday 23rd February – Lion Making Workshop 11am – 5pm Children can come along to our fantastic Craft Workshop and make their very own lion masks. Workshops like this allow your child to interact and learn in a fun and relaxed environment with our experienced members of staff. It’s grrrrreat half term entertainment! Thursday 24th February – Bead Craft Workshop on The Bandstand 11am – 4pm Join us on the Bandstand for our bead craft workshop and make a keyring, bag decoration or even a piece of jewellery all from beads – the list is endless! Friday 25th February – Porcelain Plant Pot Workshop on The Bandstand 11am – 4pm Children will love to personalise these plant pots in time for planting spring bulbs. Children can use our special new acrylic pens and paints to create vibrant colourful designs. Saturday 26th February – Dance Talent on The Orient Main Stage 12noon, 1.30pm & 3pm Do you want to learn how to dance like a pop star? Watch and learn at our DanceTalent workshop! The DanceTalent teachers will be performing a stunning showcase, then you can learn how to bust some moves in a new dance workshop for children. DanceTalent will show you easy step-by-step dance moves and tricks to create an amazing dance routine. Sunday 27th February – Animal Finger Puppet Workshop 11am – 5pm It’s all fingers and thumbs at this amazing Animal Finger Puppet Workshop. Our fun and creative staff members will pull out all the stops this half term inspiring your children and bringing those finger puppets to life!!
