Transport charity Transaid’s annual showcase will this year be held at Buckingham Palace, in a mark of recognition for the organisation’s 15th anniversary.

Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal will attend the special event on October 29th, alongside invited members of the transport industry and event sponsors Bandvulc Group and Barclays.

During a number of special presentations, Transaid will highlight to invited guests how the charity has researched and implemented transport solutions in sub-Saharan Africa since 1998, and detail how ongoing projects are saving lives.

Transaid’s Chief Executive, Gary Forster, says: “We are absolutely delighted and honoured to be able to hold our anniversary celebrations at the Palace. The Princess Royal co-founded Transaid 15 years ago and has always been an active and supportive patron, so to have secured a truly regal setting for our anniversary celebrations is just wonderful.”

He added: “Our annual showcase is always a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate our work to our supporters and is also our way of saying a huge thank you to everyone who supports our organisation. This year’s event promises to be something really special indeed.”
