leveraging greater thermal efficiency that enables higher energy savings and reduced carbon footprint.
Sweden, Stockholm. 30 June 2020. Sustainable Energy utilization has become a global imperative. Tranter’s wide range of gasketed plate & frame heat exchangers enables our customers to reduce their energy consumption and the greater thermal efficiency of the heat exchanger the more energy can be saved. Therefore, Tranter has developed a highly efficient and innovative plate pattern, called the Omniflex™, which is the enabler of the new ThermoFit™ DN150 plate series that boosts energy efficiency to meet the market demand for higher heat recovery rates.
The Omniflex™ pattern is a patented Tranter design enabling high energy efficiency. The unique plate pattern induce high turbulence and enhanced heat transfer rates, yet with low pressure drop.
The plate series includes the GT-165 model, which is designed for optimized energy efficiency in District Heating and Cooling applications with LMTDs as low as 1 degree Kelvin and NTU values (Number of Transfer Units) extending above 10 in a single-pass arrangement.
The GT-155 complements Tranter’s DN150 plate series and is available with both glued and clip-on gaskets. The model also comes AHRI certified as a response to customer needs from the HVAC sector, where the demand for the model is expected to be strong.
Tranter’s ThermoFit™ DN150 plate series includes the GT-155, GT-160, and GT-165 models that are all available in stainless steel and Titanium materials. For corrosion aggressive fluids all models are also available in exotic materials, such as 904L, C-276, 254 SMO, and Ti-Gr.11.
