Trelleborg Builds a Strategic Alliance for the Future of Subsea Storage

Trelleborg’s offshore operation has signed a strategic alliance agreement with Safe Marine Transfer, LLC, to collaboratively mature and commercialize Safe Marine Transfer’s subsea chemical storage and injection system.

Schroeder, Jr. Principal with Safe Marine Transfer states: “After performing evaluations with several companies, we chose Trelleborg for its material expertise, in-depth applications know-how, and global footprint. The company is known for specializing in the development and production of syntactic foam and the Houston team is keen to share their vast buoyancy knowledge with us. Our partnership will ensure we can accelerate market delivery and improve the performance of our products, to meet the needs of our customers and the industry.”

Safe Marine Transfer was established to provide subsea chemical storage and injection of production chemicals at the point of need down to 10,000 feet of seawater as a service to help accelerate growth and profitable exploitation of resources via subsea tie-backs.
