Trelleborg’s offshore operation has joined the movement towards a world free of multiple sclerosis thanks to the leadership of Antony Croston, who is serving as the Team Captain for Trelleborg’s BP MS150 team.

Ten Trelleborg employees, family members and friends participated in the BP MS150 2017, and raised more than $7,000 to end MS.

Antony Croston, Business Group Director for Trelleborg’s offshore operation in Houston states: “It was both inspiring and challenging to have participated in the BP MS 150 Bike Ride along with my Trelleborg teammates. I am proud to support the MS Society by helping to raise awareness for the disease.

“Bike MS, Walk MS and MuckFest MS are the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s largest fundraising events. Our team was able to raise money and gain personal satisfaction from the event. Overall, teams raised approximately $100 million last year for the Society and BP MS150 teams like ours raised about $13 million of that!”

The BP MS 150 is a two-day fundraising bike ride organized by the National MS Society, South Central Chapter. The ride is the largest event of its kind in North America, with 13,000 cyclists, 3,500 volunteers, and countless spectators along the route and at the finish line in Austin. The fundraising goal for the 2017 BP MS 150 is $16 million dollars to bring hope to many who are affected by multiple sclerosis. There are 100 Bike MS events nationwide, more than 500 Walk MS Events, 9 Challenge Walks and 11 MuckFest MS events held every year nationally.

Multiple sclerosis is a progressive neurological disease that affects more than 2 million people worldwide, primarily those between 20 and 50 years old. A cure has yet to be discovered
