Trelleborg Group has finalized the acquisition of an operation in polymer coated fabrics used in niche applications, for example, in transportation equipment and the aerospace industry, as well as in engineered industrial products. The operation is a division of the US-based, privately owned company Alpha Engineered Composites, and it is selling all its production equipment, customer base and intellectual property rights. The division’s sales amounts to approximately SEK 90 M. The acquisition gives Trelleborg access to heat-resistant silicone coated fabrics, thereby allowing Trelleborg to enter new markets in coated fabrics.

The transaction will be consolidated as of December 30, 2021.

A press release regarding the acquisition was published on December 24, 2021.
