Citigroup Fires 11 More People After Banamex Investigation and Sony Acquires the Film Rights to Book on Edward Snowden

Citigroup Inc. (NYSE: C) revealed in an internal memo sent to employees on Wednesday, that the company has fired 11 more people after an ongoing internal investigation found bogus loans and lax controls at the company's Mexican unit Banamex. Four senior executives were let go of which two were business heads in Mexico. There could be more disciplinary action taken against other employees both inside and outside of Mexico as the investigation continues, according to the memo.


Citigroup Inc., a diversified financial services holding company, provides various financial products and services to consumers, corporations, governments, and institutions. The company’s Global Consumer Banking segment provides traditional banking services to retail customers through retail banking, commercial banking, Citi-branded cards, and Citi retail services. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. The producers are known for their work on James Bond films like “Skyfall” and “Quantum of Solace." Both films were released by Sony and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
