Nokia Announces Three New Lumia Phones and Ballard Power Systems Announces Four Buses Deployed with Ballard Modules

Ballard Power Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: BLDP) shares rose higher on Tuesday after the company announced that four buses had been deployed with Ballard modules. Ballard announced Van Hool NV, the fourth-largest bus manufacturer in Europe, delivered the first four buses powered by Ballard's 150-kilowatt FCvelocity-HD6 fuel cell module. Van Hool will deliver the other six buses in the fleet of ten known as the "Aberdeen Hydrogen Bus Project" to transit agencies in Aberdeen, Scotland in the next few weeks. 

Ballard Power Systems Inc. is engaged in the development and commercialization of proton exchange membrane fuel cells worldwide. The company is primarily involved in the design, development, manufacture, sale, service, and license of fuel cell stacks, modules, and systems for various applications in the motive and stationary power markets. It also develops methanol and hydrogen fueled clean energy backup power systems, as well as provides engineering services for various fuel cell applications. The company offers its products and services for telecom backup power and material handling, as well as bus and distributed generation markets.
