Nokia Gets Approval for Microsoft Deal and American Airlines Group’s First-quarter Revenue Cut by $115M
Nokia Corporation (NYSE: NOK) has received regulatory approval from Chinese authorities to sell the company’s mobile phone unit to Microsoft Corp. This may be the very last hurlde in a deal that is worth $7.3 billion. Nokia said that it expects the transaction to close by the end of the month, having acquired the necessary approvals from regulatory bodies including in the U.S., the European Union and other jurisdictions. The deal was originally set to close in the first quarter but was delayed due to regulatory approvals. Nokia Corporation operates as a mobile communications company
