Svensk Rökgasenergi, SRE, a subsidiary of energy and environmental technology Group Opcon AB, today signed contracts worth around SEK 7 million for two additional orders concerning complete bio-energy installations for flue gas condensation, flue gas treatment and water treatment. Two smaller orders for treatment plants in Germany worth around SEK 1.5 million were also signed, taking the total order amount up to around SEK 8.5 million.

The customers for both bio-energy plants are boiler manufacturers with full contract responsibility for new installations at Örkelljunga and Matfors in Sweden. The end customers are Örkelljunga Energi and Sundsvall Energi.

The order for Örkelljunga is the first direct order from Finnish boiler manufacturer Nakkilan Konepaja. The order for Matfors is from Swedish boiler manufacturer HOTAB, with whom SRE has established a long-term relationship.

“SRE continues to win orders at a good rate. Boiler manufacturers often have complete contract responsibility so it is important to have the right equipment that matches their boilers as well as a strong relationship. It’s very positive for us therefore to start supplying Nakkilan Konepaja directly now. Hopefully this will help us make a swift entry into the Finnish market,” says Rolf Hasselström, President and CEO of Opcon.

SRE’s solution, featuring flue gas condensation and a wet electrostatic precipitator, increases the efficiency of the biofuel boiler by around 25-30 % while severely limiting emissions of particles to a guaranteed level below 25 mg/Nm3.
