Saxlund International Ltd., a UK subsidiary of Opcon the energy and environmental technology Group, has received yet an order for their innovative bulk material handling and storage to another one of Anglian Water’s wastewater treatment facilities for delivery in 2013.

Anglian Water is the largest water and wastewater company in England and Wales, operating over 1,200 water and wastewater treatment works servicing more than six million domestic and business customers in the eastern counties of England.

The new order for the Canwick STW in Lincolnshire follows the two orders taken shortly before Christmas 2012 for the Marston STW and Harwich & Dovercourt STW, also for delivery 2013. In total Saxlund has now won five contracts for Anglian Water since they developed and delivered the first system for storage of sewage sludge cake at Anglian Water’s Thetford satellite water treatment works in 2012.

“Our extensive experience as a market leader in sludge handling and bulk solid handling with more than 60 years’ experience across numerous industry sectors was fundamental in securing more work with Anglian Water.

We are proud to be able to help Anglian Water with their commitment to reshape its business around a low-carbon model”, says Matt Drew, Managing Director of Saxlund International Ltd.
