Trimble is delighted to announce that its GeoManager Driver Safety solution has been named runner up for the Fleet Safety Innovation (supplier) award at this year’s, Brake Fleet Safety Awards. The annual event, put on by Brake, the road safety charity, recognises the achievements of fleet operators and suppliers who are working hard to reduce road crashes involving at-work drivers.

Trimble Driver Safety monitors and reviews driving behaviour across a fleet of vehicles. It allows aggressive manoeuvers, such as hard acceleration, braking, turns and speed to be recorded, offering real-time feedback to the driver as well as a complete analysis for the back office. This insight means that training can then be provided to individuals to improve their driving style which will not only help reduce accidents and vehicle downtime, but will also help reduce the fleet’s fuel consumption and carbon footprint.

"With more than 11 ‘at work drivers’ being killed per week on Britain’s roads taking action to ensure fleet safety is of the utmost importance,” said Charles Morriston, Product Manager for Trimble Driver Safety. “Our Driver Safety solution has helped our customers achieve fantastic results in improving the safety of their employees and we’re delighted that this has been recognised through such a prestigious award ceremony.”
