Georgia Insurance Agencies WS Pharr & Co. and PointeNorth Insurance Group to Merge
Atlanta, Ga. Dec. 18, 2012--PointeNorth Insurance Group and WS Pharr & Co. are joining forces.
Effective Feb. 1, 2013, the company will operate as PointeNorth Insurance Group.
Along with a highly regarded middle market commercial insurance practice, WS Pharr & Co. brings an additional location in Columbus, Georgia. Operating throughout the southeast, the agency has a robust portfolio of commercial insurance programs that provide unique solutions for its commercial clientele.

WS Pharr & Co., founded in 1988 by William S. Pharr a recognized insurance and business leader in the greater Atlanta area, will combine its operations with PointeNorth forming one of Atlanta’s largest locally owned independent insurers, with more than 40,000 clients and offices in Atlanta, Decatur, Alpharetta and Columbus.

Pharr will continue as a shareholder, serve as a Senior Vice President of PointeNorth and President of the WS Pharr middle market programs. He joins PointeNorth with other WS Pharr principals, George Boudoucies, Joe Mendenhall, Fred Mitchell, and Bob Fyfe, who will serve as vice presidents.
