Today Tritech launches MeshNET – a new cost-effective radio technology for AMR and other industrial applications

Radio nodes in a MeshNET network all cooperate to transport information, almost like on the Internet. By using many small, inexpensive and low-power radio transmitters, a wireless network can cover a large geographical area with a scalable and robust communications infrastructure.

MeshNET networks are easy to install and require almost no management. Radio network planning, historically a very sophisticated procedure, also becomes a lot easier since you can simply add extra nodes where interference or large structures are blocking the radio waves. As a leading AMR systems supplier, Comsel has selected Tritech to integrate MeshNET technology into electricity meters. The integration project is close to completion and the first installations will take place in May in Finland. - “Traditionally, installing radio networks has been a fairly cumbersome procedure. MeshNET technology makes the whole process a lot easier and will help lower the barriers for grid operators to install AMR solutions on a national scale”, says Thomas Jonsson, CEO Tritech. - “With MeshNET technology we greatly simplify the process of collection meter values from larger consumer areas and our customers can focus on integrating AMR services into their operation”, says Johan Säll, Sales Manager Sweden Comsel. MeshNET’s modular design allows integration into almost any industrial product that requires reliable low-bandwidth data communications capability.
