Teneiger Howard of Bellwood is well on her way to becoming a police officer: She graduated with an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Triton College; passed the Peace Officer Wellness Evaluation Report, or the P.O.W.E.R. Test, to gain entry into the police academy; and is now pursuing her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
