Truecaller has appointed Ben Zhang as Chief Business Officer
Truecaller has recruited and appointed Ben Zhang as Chief Business Officer (CBO). Ben brings an extensive growth-oriented experience both from a business and corporate development perspective. As CBO, Ben will immediately focus on and be responsible for global user growth. He will also have responsibilities on long-term revenue development initiatives and support strategic investment and partnership opportunities. Ben will join the management team of Truecaller.
Prior to joining Truecaller, Ben was Director of Strategic Development team for Sequoia Capital India and Southeast Asia. As part of his Sequoia Capital role, he served as an important stakeholder in helping prepare Truecaller for the IPO in 2021. Ben also helped manage strategic development and fund-raising for many of the 200+ companies in Sequoia’s portfolio across sectors of consumer internet, SaaS, Fintech, Healthcare, etc. Prior to Sequoia Capital, Ben was a Principal at KKR Capstone Asia, Co-founder and COO of an e-travel startup in China called Airizu, and a Consultant for Bain & Company. Ben holds an MBA degree from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and dual BSc degrees in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Brigham Young University.
