TrustLink broadens its platform support to include Linux
TrustLink broadens its platform support to include Linux TrustLink AB revealed today that it is currently porting its leading mobile applications to the Linux platform as a step in its product evolution strategy. Support for Linux was admitted as being part of the development effort currently underway that will result in the next major versions of TrustLink's software. TrustLink expects to release its first product that supports (embedded) Linux in Q3 2002. "This fits in with our overall product strategy - we provide our applications on all leading handheld platforms," says Mats Bergström, Managing Director of TrustLink AB. "We believe that Linux is establishing itself as a player in this market, so the progression was natural. Devices that support Linux such as Sharp's Zaurus are already creating a great deal of interest. The port to Linux also reveals the strength of our product's design - we can quickly and easily provide support for new platforms."
