TT electronics Named as Outstanding Supplier by Agusta Westland
Service and Quality helps to achieve DAOS certification from the MoD
Wyebridge, UK 23 July 2012: TT electronics has been presented with Agusta Westland Ltd’s award for Outstanding Performance at the company’s annual Supplier Conference. The design work carried out by TT electronics New Chapel Electronics on military rotary aircraft assemblies for Agusta Westland and other MoD projects has supported the successful approval of the Ministry of Defence’s DAOS certification.
TT electronics supplies connector accessories, backshells and cable harnesses for military helicopter assemblies to Agusta Westland production facilities in Yeovil and Milan. Commenting on the award Andy Kirkham, Operations Director, for New Chapel Electronics said, “Agusta Westland has been a key TT electronics customer for a number of years. Over the last year we have worked closely with the team in Yeovil to ensure the projects run smoothly and efficiently. This award alongside the DAOS certification is testament to the hard work and dedication demonstrated by the whole account team and I am delighted to accept it on their behalf.”

The Design Approval Organisation Scheme (DAOS) scheme aims to provide a level of assurance to Project Teams that approved organisations are competent to design airworthy modifications and repairs to aircraft within a scope defined by the Project Team Leader. TT electronics achieved certification after a successful audit process undertaken by the Military Aviation Authority on behalf of the MoD and is now approved to supply connectors and harnesses for military aircraft.
