HPSolartech kicks off 50 MW solar park project

HPSolartech has obtained the rights to build large scale solar parks in the south of Sweden. The project includes a total of 50 MW solar panels and covers approximately 70 hectares.

The project is a part of HPSolartech’s efforts to become the leading developer of solar parks in Sweden and, in time, the Nordic region. The project is built on leased land outside Emmaboda in Kalmar County and Vingåker in Södermanland County.

This project is one of several projects HPSolartech is undertaking. The development portfolio includes more than 700 MW, and 90 MW is currently under construction, with commissioning planned for 2022.

– We look forward to entering the final stages of this project, with the majority of the required permits issued. We are in dialogue with local people and they are very favourable to our initiative with renewable solar power energy in the area. If we continue according to plan, the project will be ready for construction in 2022 and provide a significant addition of renewable energy, says Anders Nilsson, Head of Project Development at HPSolartech.
