Libro TIME in TurnIT Consulting brings Regeringskansliet to life on the Internet Libro TIME, a subsidiary of Arete, part of TurnIT Consulting, signed a master agreement today on web transmissions using streaming media technology with Regeringskansliet, the Swedish Government Offices. The agreement extends over two years, and its coverage will include all meetings held during the Swedish EU presidency. The aim is to make all major EU meetings available on the Internet, which will involve a large number of web transmissions. The agreement covers transmissions from Sweden and from abroad. The transmissions will be sent on RealPlayer and WindowsMedia, and Libro TIME has a great deal of experience from similar assignments for organisations such as SAS, Banverket and Scania. "We see this agreement as a breakthrough in giving large groups of people access to meetings and events over the Internet at low cost using streaming technology. This is a major step forward in providing the general public, in Sweden and abroad, with live news in real time, using new technology" says Torbjörn Wiking, who is in charge of streaming technology at Libro TIME.
