Strategic order from US producer of mobile Internet solutions won by TurnIT Supplies' company, LAC
Strategic order from US producer of mobile Internet solutions won by TurnIT Supplies' company, LAC LAC Elektronik AB, part of TurnIT Supplies, has won a strategic order for the supply of components for mobile Internet systems. The order is worth about SEK 6 million up to the end of November, and the estimated annual volume is almost SEK 25 million. LAC is an established supplier and developer of components for the telecommunications and other industries throughout the world. Its products are customized to meet clients' individual requirements, and are used, for example, in the radio frequency area, signal filtration and boost functions for circuits for mobile telephony and datacoms. Other applications include digital WAN and mobile telephony networks, as well as fixed access networks. The order received from one of the USA's most successful companies is a public acceptance of LAC's technology and solutions, and could prove to be a breakthrough with other producers. LAC's customers also include Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Compaq, Ericsson, Nokia, IBM, Telia, Tele2, Teracom, SCI, Celestica and Flextronics. "This order confirms our position as a strategic supplier of components for mobile Internet systems" says LAC's President, Torbjörn Heidergren, in a comment on the deal. "This volume order shows that we are in at the start with producers for GPRS and Bluetooth. We are already working on orders for 3G systems" concludes Torbjörn Heidergren.
