TurnIT Consulting's Arete signs master agreement with Telia Prosoft Arete, the Parent Company for TurnIT's Swedish consultancy operations, through its subsidiary, Systemering, has signed a master agreement with Telia Prosoft, Telia's IT company. The agreement applies to systems development services, both traditional IT consultancy and web development, during 2001. Systemering is one of the larger suppliers to Telia ProSoft, and the two companies have been working together since the early 1970s. Their co- operation during 2001 will cover both the administration of existing debiting services and networks, as well as developing new systems for the administration of new services. Systemering is one of ten selected master agreement suppliers, and the agreement, which is an extension of an earlier contract, means that Systemering will continue its comprehensive co-operation with Telia Prosoft. It offers excellent opportunities to participate in and contribute resources to a range of projects within Telia's various areas of operation. Last year, Systemering's sales under the master agreement amounted to just over SEK 22 million. "We are delighted that Telia Prosoft has shown renewed confidence in us", says Anders Hägg, President of Arete. "The agreement confirms the long- term nature of our relationship, and further reinforces Arete's position in the telecoms sector". Arete represents the Swedish operations of TurnIT's business area Consulting, and has subsidiaries in three main areas, systems development, Internet-based communication and technical infrastructure, with a total of about 350 consultants. TurnIT is one of the larger Swedish IT groups listed on the OM Stockholm Stock Exchange's Attract40 list. TurnIT has about 1350 employees. Its business idea is to act as an IT partner, and to offer a share with lower than average risk through the acquisition of growth companies in different areas of the IT market. The Group's operations are divided over five business areas; Supplies, Software, Communication, Consulting and Outsourcing. It also includes TurnIT Development, which invests in IT companies at an early stage of development.
