TurnIT Outsourcing signs agreements with SSPO and SÖS worth SEK 80 million by the end of 2002 Through ID Network, TurnIT Outsourcing has concluded agreements to take over responsibility for operation, help desk, communications solutions and consultancy services for operationally-critical applications and systems for both Södra Stockholms Produktionsområde (SSPO) [the South Stockholm Health Authority] and Södersjukhuset hospital (SÖS). In all, the agreements cover almost 3,000 work stations and a large number of specialist applications for the Authority's health centres and various care units, as well as the emergency hospital. Together, SÖS and SSPO have a catchment area of over 500,000 people, and a healthcare budget of SEK 3.5 billion. " Our IT solutions and communications facilities are absolutely vital to the provision of healthcare in the Authority's area. The operation and development of these requires considerable operational expertise and the ability to develop them together" says Maria Arenander, IT Manager for the South Stockholm Health Authority. The agreement is the result of exercising an option for the extension of the existing agreement up to the end of 2002, and involves services for the remainder of the period estimated at SEK 80 million. " In emergency care, a high level of availability and reliability are absolutely essential. We have to carry out complicated tasks at high speed, and this very often requires specialised systems" says Mats Nomberg, IT Manger for Södersjukhuset hospital. The agreement covers operation, communications solutions and consultancy services. ID Network has many years of experience in the area, and offers both functional outsourcing and its own ASP solutions. "I regard this agreement as confirmation that our business area Outsourcing has a strong position in the field of healthcare and public administration. We have in-depth knowledge of the operation, and the ability to contribute to the further development of IT and IT systems in collaboration with SSPO and SÖS" says Peter Enström, President of TurnIT. ID Network is part of TurnIT Outsourcing, a business area of TurnIT AB - one of the larger Swedish IT groups listed on the OM Stockholm Stock Exchange's Attract40 list. TurnIT has 1150 employees. Its business idea is to act as an IT partner, and to offer a low-risk share through the acquisition of companies in different areas of the IT market. The Group's operations are divided over five business areas; Supplies, Software, Communication, Consulting and Outsourcing. It also includes TurnIT Development, which invests in IT companies at an early stage of development.
