TurnIT signs collaboration agreement with Microsoft TurnIT, through its subsidiary CityData, has signed a comprehensive support and distribution agreement with Microsoft to market TurnIT's Conisio@ document handling system. Conisio, previously known as Concero, is a document handler based on Microsoft SQL Server@ 7, and is fully integrated into Microsoft Utforskaren@. This means that all Windows applications can communicate directly with Conisio, with no need for adaptation. Conisio is naturally easy to use, and does not require extensive training. The market for document handling in Scandinavia is estimated at SEK 1.3 billion at the user stage. The growth rate has been relatively low until now, due to the fact that existing systems use their own user interfaces, which means that a considerable amount of client training has been necessary. In addition, the systems have required considerable adaptation. "We are impressed by the product", says Jonas Torstendahl of Microsoft Scandinavia. He continues, "The comprehensive and seamless integration with Microsoft's operating systems guarantees that the system is powerful and easy to use". "I would like to emphasize in particular that there is a marked increase in efficiency in all information handling right from day one with Conisio", says CityData's President, Staffan Hægermark. "Our target is to have 10 percent of the Scandinavian market by 2002. In the not too distant future we will also offer the technology over the Internet", concludes TurnIT's President, Peter Enström.
