TurnIT subsidiary Computas buys METIS from NCR

TurnIT subsidiary Computas buys METIS from NCR Computas AS has acquired the rights to the development software METIS. Computas is a consultancy company for technology-based knowledge management. Computas develops computer-based systems which make it possible to develop, present and utilize the collective knowledge in organizations. The agreement further strengthens the co-operation between Computas and NCR. METIS is a visual development modeling tool, which makes it possible for companies to analyze and display graphically the relationship between business models, technological infrastructure and ongoing projects. More than 200 consultants have been trained in METIS for Visual Consultancy Services. Under the terms of the agreement, Computas will continue with development, support and maintenance of the METIS software, and 15 members of staff at NCR's department in Norway who work with METIS will transfer to Computas. This will give Computas a total of 145 consultants. At the seller's request, the price paid for the acquisition is not being published.
