TV4 January - September 2001 - TV4 started broadcasting CNN International news on 7th October by arrangement with the station. TV4 broadcasts CNN coverage round the clock. - TV4 has consolidated its position as Sweden´s most-watched channel, with a 27.3 per cent share of the viewing figures across the population. Our share increased in the third quarter. - TV4 has been ranked the fifth strongest brand in Sweden in a recent survey carried out by Vision, an industry periodical. - TV4 News at 10.00pm is now more popular with younger viewers (the 15-39 year old target group) than either Aktuellt at 9.00pm or Rapport at 7.30pm. The Farmen docusoap has more than doubled the number of young viewers between 7.30 and 8.00pm, compared with the same period last year. The share of young female viewers (15-39 years) in the satellite universe rose by 21 per cent in the third quarter. - The number of unique visitors to TV4.se had risen to 393.000 in September 2001, up almost double on September last year. TV4.se is now the second most frequently visited media site in Sweden. TV4 Text-TV viewing figures has risen to 1.75 million a day, which is an all-time high. - Profit after net financial income/expense totalled SEK 213 million, compared with SEK 188 million the previous year. Earnings for the year to date include a lump sum of SEK 196 million, compared with SEK 21 million the previous year. Group sales fell by 9 per cent to SEK 1.566 million. - Third quarter revenues were 9 per cent lower than the previous year.
